Questions we get on the first call
Most first engagements land between £18,000 and £60,000, fixed price. The two-week assessment is £4,500 and is credited against the build if you proceed. Retainers start at £1,200 a month.
Rarely. Six years of imperfect records usually beats four months of tidy ones. The week-two data check tells you plainly whether what you have is enough, and we have told clients to wait.
By default, into your own cloud account. Where a third-party model is involved we use zero-retention endpoints and name every processor in the contract. For teams that cannot use hosted inference at all, we deploy open-weight models on your infrastructure.
The proposal names the success measures before we build. If we miss them, we keep working at no additional cost until we hit them or we agree the approach was wrong, in which case you keep the documentation and the assessment.
In thirty-eight engagements, one client reduced headcount. The rest moved people off data entry onto work they were already hired for. We will tell you honestly which situation you are in during scoping.
You do. Code, credentials, models and documentation transfer at handover. A support retainer is offered but never a condition of the build.
A demo every Friday from week four. Shadow mode, where the system makes decisions your team reviews but does not act on, usually starts around week six.
